Return Policy
Dear Valued Customers,
Prantis Planet. has always placed the highest importance on customer satisfaction. Despite our continued dedication, in order to ensure improved, timely, and efficient service, we must operate under certain rules and regulations.
Therefore, we sincerely request all respected customers to carefully review and understand the following terms and conditions before purchasing any computer products from Prantis Planet.
Thank you for your kind cooperation.
Warranty Policy Overview
The warranties announced at the time of sale are primarily provided by the original manufacturers of the respective products. This means that the warranty service for sold items is ultimately borne by the official brand or manufacturer.
Each brand maintains its own distinct warranty terms and conditions, which can be found on their respective official websites. In this context, Prantis Planet. functions as a facilitating company that helps enforce the manufacturer’s warranty policies.
Manufacturer-Defined Warranty Conditions
- Prantis Planet strictly follows the international, national, and Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) warranty policies applicable to each product.
- A warranty is a formal service agreement between the manufacturer/importer and the customer, under which the responsibility for repair or replacement lies with the manufacturer or importer.
- Prantis Planet. provides full assistance to customers in obtaining warranty services and acts as an intermediary between the customer and the manufacturer/importer.
- Most products imported by Prantis Planet. are serviced or replaced within a short time, and in many cases, immediate replacements are provided upon valid claims.
- Not all products carry a warranty. Only those for which the original company declares a warranty period are covered.
- Laptop warranties vary between 1 to 3 years, depending on brand and model. However, all laptop batteries and adapters carry a 1-year warranty only.
- If a product covered under warranty is found defective, the issue will be resolved by repair, or replaced immediately depending on the product type and stock availability.
- If the same model is not available, Prantis Planet. may replace it with another product of equal specification and brand value from its current stock.
- If neither repair nor a same/equivalent model is available, Prantis Planet. may offer a replacement with a superior model, subject to value adjustment and depreciation.
- If a replacement or equivalent model is unavailable, a refund adjusted for depreciation may be provided.
- Prantis Planet will not be responsible for any data loss or software corruption occurring during product use or servicing. Data recovery or reinstallation services are also beyond warranty coverage.
- The turnaround time for warranty services is not fixed and may range from 5–7 days to 35–40 days or longer, depending on parts availability, as most replacement components are imported.
- Customers should note that in most cases, defective parts are replaced rather than repaired, and many of these parts are sourced internationally.
- The initial computer setup, operating system installation, or any customized software provided during sale is not covered under warranty.
- Lifetime Warranty refers to service validity during the product’s market availability. Once a product is declared EOL (End of Life), warranty service will no longer apply. According to BCS policy, lifetime warranties are valid for a maximum of two (2) years.
- Services outside the warranty scope may incur charges, subject to customer consent.
- In cases where spare parts are needed for warranty service, the customer must either supply them or prepay Prantis Planet. to procure them on their behalf.
- Any new issues arising during or after free software/hardware tuning—whether within or beyond the warranty period—will not be covered under warranty.
- For monitor dead pixel claims, at least three (3) or more dead pixels must be visible to qualify for warranty replacement.
- Customers must bring the original product box when submitting a warranty claim.
Cases Where Warranty Will Not Apply (or Apply Conditionally)
Warranty claims will be invalid in the following cases:
- Damage caused by careless use, such as water exposure, breakage, burns, impact, or deep scratches.
- Serial numbers or stickers are removed, altered, or damaged in any way.
- Motherboards, graphics cards, or RAM with rust, fungus, or deep physical damage.
- Bent, broken, or missing pins on motherboards or processors.
- BIOS passwords or security codes applied by the customer are their sole responsibility; Prantis Planet. does not apply or manage passwords at delivery.
- Apple MacBook devices that have their operating systems deleted are not eligible for warranty.
- Printer consumables such as cartridges, toners, heads, rollers, drums, element covers, and maintenance boxes are not covered.
- Using non-original ink, toner, or cartridges voids the printer’s warranty.
- For combo keyboard-mouse sets, the complete bundle (including accessories) must be submitted; individual items will not be accepted.
- Power adapters for printers, scanners, routers, switches, access points, TV cards, etc. are excluded from warranty coverage.
- If more than two months pass after a warranty product is received by the service department without collection, Prantis Planet. will not be held responsible for that item.
- If the warranty receipt is lost, customers must present a valid purchase invoice and acceptable proof of purchase to claim service.
Prantis Planet always strives to maintain the highest standards of service, transparency, and customer satisfaction. We deeply appreciate your understanding and cooperation in following these policies.
